AGC of America to Recognize AGC of Colorado for Exemplary Industry Outreach and Leadership

DENVER — The national Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) will formally present AGC of Colorado with the 2017 Chapter of the Year award on December 13, at the Breakfast with the Board and Outlook 2018 and Associate/Supplier Showcase, taking place at the Denver Marriott Tech Center.  Art Daniel, 2017 president of AGC America, will personally present this award as well as the Chapter Public Relations Award for the “Construction Careers Now” campaign, to the Board of Directors and staff of AGC of Colorado.

“Chapters provide vital support for thousands of hard working construction contractors,” said Art Daniel, the national association’s president and the President and COO of AR Daniel Construction Services, Inc. “Without their tireless efforts, it is hard to imagine where our industry would be today.”

AGC of Colorado was recognized for their emphasis on workforce development, legislative advocacy, and membership initiatives. AGC CEO Stephen Sandherr noted that the chapter had found new and effective ways to communicate with their members, keeping their member companies up to date on local business and political developments. Sandherr added that the chapter distinguished themselves for their ability to advocate on behalf of the construction community.

“The AGC of Colorado prides itself on being an advocate and trusted resource for our members,” said Michael Gifford, president and CEO, AGC of Colorado. “This honor belongs to each member who donated their time advancing our industry in Colorado.”

In addition to the award presentation, Cliff Brewis, vice president of Operations at Dodge Data & Analytics, will be presenting the construction Outlook 2018 report. This report, based on years of industry research gathered by Dodge Data & Analytics, provides insights on various construction industry sectors that help guide both general and specialty contractors for the upcoming year. Mr. Brewis is a frequent speaker on the construction forecast with over 30 years in sales, planning and operations.
