Vice President in Tenant Representation
JLL’s Denver Corporate Office
“I’m not one to shy away from a challenge or hard work, and I’ve enjoyed exceeding the expectations set for me by people who perhaps miscalculated my experience and my expertise.”
Who is Amy Aldridge?
In a business dominated by REIT’s, occupancy rates and leasing terms, Amy Aldridge reminds us that the commercial real estate industry is more about working with people who are passionate and enthusiastic in order to achieve notable success. “There is no deal big enough for me to work with an unethical person with bad character, and there is no deal too small for me where I get to work with a client who is ethical, passionate and energetic,” comments Amy.
This industry perspective is reflected in Amy’s answer to the question as to who has made the greatest impact on her career. Amy notes that Herman Bulls, who currently serves as Vice Chairman, Americas for JLL, “…is inspirational and a leader within the community based on his integrity and character.” Amy works to continue this style of leadership by locally mentoring a JLL Analyst who started as an intern and has worked her way into the Capital Markets division. “Generally speaking, I try to support my more junior colleagues and team members by setting them up for success. That means keeping an open door for questions and helping them work out challenges they’re facing in their career,” says Amy.
Amy has harnessed nearly a decade of commercial real estate acumen, including extensive experience closing complex transactions for a variety of public and private sector clients across the country. She has also faced challenges in her career, namely being underestimated which she describes as a result of her relative youth and being a woman in a male-dominated industry.
“I’m not one to shy away from a challenge or hard work, and I’ve enjoyed exceeding the expectations set for me by people who perhaps miscalculated my experience and my expertise,” Amy explains.
This passion for the industry has proven successful for Amy who has negotiated leases totaling over 3 million square feet across the country. She was recognized by her firm with the JLL Denver Office 2014 Break Out Broker of the Year and as a DMCAR Heavy Hitter finalist in the Young Broker of Denver category. When she not is working or volunteering on the Board of Rocky Mountain Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation, Amy can be found hiking 14’ers in the summer and actively following the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team as well as the Broncos.
