CO Highlighted as ‘Model for the Nation’ at North American Infrastructure Leadership Forum, Gov. Hickenlooper to Keynote

Denver, CO – Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper and Senator Cory Gardnerwill address over 500 public and private sector executives focused on increasing investment in strategic infrastructure projects at the 8th North American Infrastructure Leadership Forum in Denver on October 24th and 25th.  The Leadership Forum will also feature a luncheon with Kansas Governor Sam Brownback on October 24th.

“Infrastructure is the backbone of the US economy, and Colorado is leading the way in strategic planning and investment,” said Gov. Hickenlooper. “The Leadership Forum is an important event for Colorado businesses and I am pleased to be a part of welcoming industry leadership and North America’s strategic projects to our state.”

Colorado is well represented, including presentations from:

  • Denver International Airport Great Hall Project
  • North I-25
  • Rush Creek Wind Project
  • CityNOW: Peña Station Next

“Infrastructure is the engine for the growth and opportunity creation our country needs to be globally competitive again,” said CG/LA CEO, Norman Anderson.  “Infrastructure is a bipartisan issue critical for the future of our country – we have been working with public and private leaders from throughout the country to build an infrastructure plan for the next administration.”

He went on to emphasize that the reason the Leadership Forum is in Denver this year is because of the state’s “long-term vision and leadership in building the imaginative projects that are critical for the region’s competitiveness. We see Colorado as a model for the nation.”
