Construction Underway for Hickory & Ash, a Kevin Taylor Creation

Hickory and Ash Design

Broomfield, CO – The Arista Development team and Catamount Constructors, Inc. has commenced construction of Kevin Taylor’s newest restaurant, Hickory & Ash.  Kevin will open the 5,500 square foot restaurant at 8001 Arista Place in partnership with his son, Ryan Taylor, who will serve as Hickory & Ash’s executive chef.  The restaurant is planned to open in June 2017.

Hickory & Ash will serve lunch, dinner and brunch menus that offer a variety of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients; craft cocktails, local beers and an extensive wine list will also be available.  The space, designed by Kevin Taylor and architect Riddick Semple, will feature rustic décor, 120 seats, two private dining rooms and a 60-seat outdoor patio.

“We’re excited to move beyond our white-tablecloth roots”, says Kevin Taylor.  “Hickory & Ash will provide a more casual, yet still very chef-driven environment, and we think it will be well-received by those who live, work, play and visit the thriving Arista development.”

“Jordan [Wiens] and I are excited to see this deal with Kevin and Ryan begin,” said Tim Wiens, Arista’s Developer. “It has been our mission to bring chef-driven restaurants to Arista.  Kevin has been a leader of chef-driven operations in the Denver area and our partnership with them is exciting.”  Wiens shared that more restaurants are in the works for the Arista development.

Arista continues to grow its tenant base, as the development recently completed construction of its latest Class A office building.  Construction on Arista’s 18-acre retail project will begin this month with a strong interest from the retail community.

“Today, Arista is continuing to meet the needs of its growing residential and commercial community.” said Jordan Wiens, Arista Managing Broker and Project Manager.  “The market is ripe for commercial and retail development to continue at Arista, especially as it grows as a destination center between Denver and Boulder.”
