Continued Growth Projected for North Metro Denver

View here

According to the Denver Post, $350 million worth of commercial projects broke ground along the I-25 corridor in Thornton in 2017, and development shows no signs of slowing down; there is currently 1,400 acres of undeveloped commercial land along I25 and CBRE predicts strong population growth for the area.

A population boom, strong job growth and well positioned sites are the main draws for developers. Among the hottest developments are Simon Properties 330,000-square-foot Denver Premium Outlets, set to open late next year, and of course who could forget Amazon’s 855,000-square-foot fulfillment center at I-25 and 144th Avenue.

Thornton isn’t alone in its development boom. Westminster and Broomfield are also seeing an increase in large-scale developments, including a 400,000-square-foot Ikea furniture store, expected to open in Broomfield in 2019.
