According to hotel research company STR, there are 62.4 percent (4,672 new hotel rooms) more new hotel rooms under construction in Denver than last year, ranking the city third in the nation for having the most new-build hotel construction. Current leaders in the U.S. are Nashville and Seattle.
This news is consistent with reports that 2016 was a good year for the Denver hotel industry, with STR reporting the average daily rate, revenue per available room, and total revenue all up from 2015.
