JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE Completes Architecture and Interior Design for Greeley Hotel

Greeley Hotel

Greeley, CO – JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE, a Denver-based architecture and interior design firm specializing in hospitality, urban housing and mixed-use projects, has completed architecture and interior design for DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park, a 147-room hotel located in Downtown Greeley. The hotel hosted its grand opening on Sept. 15.

“We designed DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park with the goal of making the space a landmark in Greeley – a true destination for visitors,” said Tobias Strohe, partner at JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE. “Drawing inspiration from the rich industrial and agricultural history of Greeley, the design reflects the city’s roots, while remaining consistent with the DoubleTree brand.”

JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE collaborated with partners including Hensel Phelps, Design Workshop, Monroe & Newell and AE Associates to complete the project for Lincoln Park Hotel, LLC.

The new six-story, full-serve hotel is an important step in supporting growth and economic activity in the growing Northern Colorado city. Greeley experienced a 3.5 percent surge in population between June 2015 and July 2016, allowing the area to claim the nation’s fourth fastest rate of population growth, according to an estimate from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The 123,200-square-foot hotel is the first venue designed to accommodate large-scale conferences in Greeley. The new space will feature the Northern Colorado’s largest ballroom as well as a number of multi-functional meeting spaces – all designed with high-end finishes, and equipped with modern conferencing and event amenities.

The interior design is an embodiment of JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE’s approach to creating spaces that are beautiful, functional and contextually relevant. The interior serves as a visual storyboard that celebrates Greeley’s industrious history and promising future. Elevator lobbies within the guest tower feature custom murals created by local Greeley artists, inspired by themes that reflect elements of the culture of the town: hard work, the University of Northern Colorado, oil and gas, trains and more.

DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park is one of a number of new hospitality projects from JOHNSON NATHAN STROHE in Colorado that include The Maven Hotel and Halcyon.
