STUDIO Architecture Hires New Team Member

James Ervi

STUDIO Architecture, a Boulder-based, full-service architecture and urban design firm, has added a new member to its talented roster. James Ervi has been added as an architectural intern. Irvi was previously employed at at Denver’s Iron Horse Architects and Sunwest Construction in Lubbock, Texas. Irvi’s portfolio includes work on Texas Rangers Stadium, Denver International Airport and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

“We’re excited to add James to our team,” said Jeff Dawson, founder and principal of STUDIO Architecture. “He brings an eagerness, passion and creativity that will benefit our work here.”

 

CBRE Welcomes Eminent Domain Specialist Jon Vaughn to Valuation & Advisory Services in Colorado

CBRE announced this week that Jon Vaughan, MAI, SR/WA has joined as a director with Valuation & Advisory Services in Fort Collins.  Mr. Vaughan brings 15 years of experience specializing in eminent domain-related property appraisals and consulting and will lead the CBRE Eminent Domain Practice for the Colorado region.

“Jon is well known in the eminent domain industry and is highly respected by the governmental agencies and property owners he works for as well as his peers. We’re thrilled to have Jon join the CBRE team,” said Tom Baroch, managing director, CBRE Valuation & Advisory Services.

Mr. Vaughan’s work will focus on preparing real estate appraisals, feasibility studies and providing consulting services for a range of property types across the state. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Vaughan worked as an appraiser with Foster Valuation in Greeley, where he honed his focus on eminent domain. He has worked on property valuations related to some of Colorado’s most-notable infrastructure projects including the I-25 widening and the addition of express lanes from north Denver to Northern Colorado.

“It’s an interesting time to be in this field in Colorado in light of the strong population growth and resulting infrastructure projects with eminent domain components. I’m looking forward to combining my experience with the resources available at CBRE including industry-leading technology tools to help provide our clients with world-class valuation services,” said Mr. Vaughan.

In addition to his work with CBRE, Mr. Vaughan is an adjunct instructor at Colorado State University, teaching the real estate appraisal course. He is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and served as Colorado Chapter President in 2017. Mr.Vaughan graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration on Finance and Real Estate.

 

Small Giants Expands with Marketing Manager Hire and Public Relations Specialist

Small Giants, LLC., a rapidly growing creative marketing agency in Phoenix and Denver, has hired Alison Wright as marketing manager to serve commercial real estate, architecture, construction and engineering clients. As Marketing Manager, Alison will be working with clients to understand their goals, direction and messaging, and will employ strategic leadership and vision to oversee marketing projects.

“Alison’s approach to marketing strategy and project management will help propel the marketing team into the next phase of growth. She will help implement new structure internally by overseeing our marketing team workload,” said Danielle Feroleto, founder and president of Small Giants. “With experience as the former director of philanthropy for Eversight in Ann Arbor, Mich., Alison brings more than ten years of public relations and professional development experience to the Small Giants team. Alison earned a Master of Science in Administration and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University. She also holds a Management Certificate from Rockhurst University.

“I look forward to creating a strategy with the Small Giants marketing team to appropriately allocate our resources to serve our clients best,” said Wright.

Alison is the past president of the Ann Arbor Host Lions Club and former Public Relations Chairperson for Lions District 11-B1. She is an active volunteer and has received multiple accolades, including Region 1 Lion of the Year, and Lions 11-B1 Club of the Year under her leadership as president. She has been honored as a Melvin Jones Fellow and a William “Doc” Barr Knights for Vision Fellow, both resulting from dedicated humanitarian services. Additionally, Alison serves as president of the Donate Life Coalition of Michigan.

David McGlothlin

Public Relations Specialist

Small Giants also hired David McGlothlin as public relations specialist to serve commercial real estate, architecture, construction and engineering clients. As public relations specialist, David will work with clients to understand their goals, direction and messaging on public relations and marketing projects.

“David brings a great blend of passion for the commercial construction and real estate industry and understands how to communicate about the people and their projects to fully serve our clients. We are excited to add him to our public relations team as it grows,” said Danielle Feroleto, founder and president of Small Giants.

Having previously worked as editor of Arizona Commercial Real Estate magazine for AZ Big Media, David brings a well-chronicled editorial and creative perspective to the team and clients. As editor at AZRE, David worked actively with leaders throughout the commercial real estate industry including development, brokerage, construction, investment, finance, architecture, property management and real estate law. He also worked with industry organizations such as NAIOP, ULI, ICSC, AAED, Valley Partnership and Arizona Builders Alliance.

“Not many people can say their mom was a heavy equipment operator who helped build some of the Valley’s prominent masterplans and roads in the Valley back in the day. I’ve been around the CRE and A/E/C industries from an early age, so I am excited to continue my career in this industry with my position at Small Giants,” stated McGlothlin.

David has been published in a variety of Arizona publications, including the Arizona Daily Wildcat, Arizona Daily Star, Tucson Weekly, Tucson Sentinel, Havasu News, Arizona Sonora News Service, AZBEX, Arizona Commercial Real Estate, People & Projects to Know in Commercial Real Estate, Arizona Business, Mesa Independent, The Cursor and Today’s News-Herald.

David has organized, hosted and emceed AZ Big Media’s Real Estate & Development (RED) Awards and Annual AZRE Forum, highlighting the top people, projects and trends across the CRE industry. He has also presented tips on media pitches to various groups and industry trade associations across the Valley.
