SBEC Selected for CU Denver North Classroom Renovation

Shaffer Baucom Engineering & Consulting (SBEC) has been selected as the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer to renovate for University of Colorado Denver’s iconic North Classroom Building Renovation estimated at nearly $30,000,000 construction costs. The project will renovate 115,000 gsf of the main atrium including 34 general assignment classrooms to provide students with a more comfortable and efficient learning atmosphere.

The North Classroom opened in 1987 and became an iconic building, symbolizing a new era for the University of Colorado Denver. The new building became home base of operations for the Auraria Campus. The University of Colorado Denver is a public university located in Denver, Colorado.

RNL Design, located in Denver, Colorado will serve as the Architect of Record. “For more than 40 years, RNL has helped educational agencies define visions and develop plans to successfully meet future challenges.”
