Three CRE Professionals Partner to Transform Dunton Commercial

DENVER – Three commercial real estate professionals have partnered together to transform a well-known Denver Commercial Real Estate Company. Taylor Fenn and Peter Katz, owners of Walpin & Co, have acquired Dunton Commercial LLC, that specializes in property management, consulting, and advisory services for retail, office, and industrial assets.

Taylor Fenn has an extensive background in repositioning underutilized companies. Mr. Katz has more than 18 years in commercial property management operations, development and construction management. Over the last three years, Fenn and Katz have modernized Walpin & Co by implementing the latest technology based property management solutions, increased construction management services and improved internal procedures and practices, positioning it nicely for the acquisition of Dunton. With the merger, Dunton will manage a total of 2.8 million square feet.

“We saw a great opportunity to take an established Denver commercial real estate company, and transform it by building around new, highly talented management and state of the art systems and processes,” Said Fenn. “We will be aggressively growing the property management and maintenance businesses as well as acquiring investment properties to provide a top tier commercial management and investment company.” Fenn added.

Nate Melchior, former senior real estate asset manager with Wells Fargo Wealth Management, has joined the new partnership as CEO of Dunton Commercial. Nate has spent his entire career in the commercial real estate industry and spent his time at Wells Fargo sourcing, acquiring, and managing commercial investment properties for high net worth clients.

“Having spent the last 13 years on the ownership side of the commercial real estate business, I understand that the success of an investment property can hinge on the quality of the property management. I know the level of attention it takes to provide exceptional service to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with incredibly talented people and combine our experience to create the new Dunton Commercial.” – Nate Melchior

As part of the effort to focus on relationship driven growth of the property management, Dunton will cease all brokerage services by the end of Q1 2018. While the Dunton Commercial Brokers transition independently, Dunton recognizes their contributions and will support their continued service of existing accounts. Dunton Brokers Bob Bramble, Tony Giordano, and Charles Nusbaum have accepted positions with Antonoff & Co Brokerage, Inc.
