As Mile High CRE reported last Fall, New York-based Greenwich Realty Capital announced their intentions to build a 90-story spire in downtown Denver, featuring 248 luxury condominium residences, 22,000 square feet of retail space and 500 parking spots.

Last week, the Denver Community Planning & Development Department confirmed that Greenwich Realty Capital submitted concept documents to the city on or around February 14. The city has not reviewed or approved any aspect of the project.

If the developer receives approval, the project will likely be a more modest version of the developers first proposal. Documents reportedly detail an 81-story mixed-use building, with retail and restaurant-bar space at ground level, a hotel, residences and 780 parking spaces.

The building at 650 17th St. would be called Six Fifty 17.
