November 14 @ 7:00 am - 9:00 am$55 – $85
Join NAIOP to learn more about the large-scale projects that are prompting opportunities for investment and development in metro Denver.
AEROTROPOLIS / GAYLORD ROCKIES
The 1501-room Gaylord Hotel & Convention Center, located in Aurora just 8 miles from DEN, opens for business this December. Learn why the developer behind this project chose Aurora and how a hot bed of development has occurred in the northeast Aurora and DEN areas in part due to the Gaylord. The Aurora Economic Development Council Vice President will share insights on how the Gaylord and other recent infrastructure and commercial developments have contributed to the ongoing growth in this area.
GATES RUBBER FACTORY / BROADWAY STATION
The second half of the discussion will focus on the Broadway Station area and the former Gates rubber factory, located on south Broadway. Substantial private investment in the submarket, such as The Henry luxury apartments and Sprouts Market, seem to be leading to further public investment. The City of Denver has approved $90 million in Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) to pay for infrastructure on the +/- 45 acre gates site, which is being developed by Frontier Renewal acting as Broadway Station Partners. Learn why the developer of The Henry chose to invest in this submarket, and hear from the Vice President of Frontier Renewal on future development opportunities at the Gates rubber factory site once horizontal improvements are completed.
