17th and Park is an 8 -story, high-rise residential development on 1280 E. 17th Ave in Denver, CO. This tour will be led by MPC (Martines Palmeiro Construction) in association with the AIA Colorado Emerging Professionals Committee and Rob Hollis (Assoc., AIA). This tour will explore various conditions and details by looking at the construction documents in the field and beginning to understand the relationship between the drawings and the real-world conditions. Attendees can expect to see lessons learned as well as successes in the drawings as we move through the building with an MPC project engineer and support staff. Attendees will get an insider look at the construction process and should expect to walk away with a new level of understanding regarding the impacts of their drawings in the field.
