SMPS Luncheon: Upcoming Development in Denver Aerotropolis

As the fifth-busiest airport in the United States, Denver International Airport brought nearly 65 million travelers to our State in 2018. Learn about the long-term development plans for Denver’s Aerotropolis, the new emerging development surrounding the airport during SMPS Colorado Chapter’s upcoming August 14 Luncheon.
Our panel of experts include the following:
Michelle Claymore, Economic Development Director, Commerce City Economic Development, is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) with over 25 years of experience. She joined the City of Commerce City in August of 2014 and previously served as Vice President of the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation from 1995-2014. She is a Colorado native and a graduate of Colorado State University.
Drew McManus is a Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield. The McManus Industrial Team provides corporate real estate advisory and transactional services to local, regional, and national clients specializing in the sales and leasing of industrial and investment properties. Drew focuses on developing long term relationships with his clients to execute both short and long-term real estate strategies.
Michael Martinez, president/CEO of Brighton Economic Development, has more than eight years of economic development experience, working in a variety of roles in workforce development, business retention, expansion, attraction, and key strategic projects previously with Denver’s Office of Economic Development. As the BEDC Executive Director, Michael is responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships with Brighton business owners and stakeholders in the community as well as spearheading our retail attraction and expansion efforts.
Susan Stanton is principal of Stanton Solutions and represents Cowley Companies. Susan has built a reputation for excellence in real estate development, land use, public-private partnerships, market analysis, governmental affairs and economic development. She worked for Denver International Airport during its development, then for economic development entities surrounding DEN, both from a regional and local perspective. Currently, Susan consults with multiple property owners on airport development opportunities.
