Denver Housing Authority Announces Keo Frazier as the New Director of Communications and Public Affairs

Denver Housing Authority (DHA) announced Keo Frazier as the new director of communications and public affairs. Frazier will serve on the executive leadership team working closely with Executive Director David Nisivoccia, to align the strategic path and organizational message with the City and County of Denver, and to be thoughtful with how the DHA brand is communicated internally and externally.

At the beginning of 2021, the Board of Commissioners set priorities for the new year. These priorities included reaffirming DHA’s mission to serve the residents of Denver by developing, owning and operating safe, decent and affordable housing in a manner that promotes thriving communities, and becoming more entrepreneurial in efforts to increase partnerships with other entities.

“We anticipate that Keo’s leadership will help elevate brand awareness of the organization and help build greater community connections to further the mission of the Denver Housing Authority,” said David Nisivoccia, executive director of DHA. “Keo joins our team at a pivotal time, and we are excited to have her on board.”

Frazier comes to Denver Housing Authority with a strong background in marketing, communications, strategic leadership and brand engagement. Most recently she was the Vice President of Communications and Engagement at Emily Griffith Technical College. She has owned several companies and has influenced many Colorado brands in Colorado and nationwide including The City of Denver Department of Transportation rebranding, reimagining the Park Hill Golf Course, 40 McWhinney projects across the nation, Shaw Construction, a “We Educate Colorado” campaign for Metropolitan State University, United Airlines TED fleet, Forest City Stapleton, Five Points Business District, many departments within the City and County of Denver, University of Colorado, and University of Denver among others.

 

CRE Industry Veteran Mike Deatly Joins Tributary Real Estate

Tributary Real Estate recently announced the expansion of its brokerage team with the hire of industry veteran Mike Deatly, who will serve as the firm’s vice president.

“Mike’s extensive experience in the Denver market and his in-depth knowledge of finance make him the perfect addition to our team,” said Andy Cullen, partner and managing broker for Tributary. “He employs a balanced combination of creativity, fundamental knowledge, work ethic and strong relationships to address the many needs of clients in today’s complicated and fast-moving commercial real estate market.”

Deatly offers more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate and six years working in sales, marketing and finance, including four years spent as vice president at GE Capital. Most recently, he was a managing director at Savills’ Denver office after spending 10 years at JLL. He has specialized in tenant representation for his entire commercial real estate career, giving him a breadth of experience finding space for his clients that ranges from standard office to laboratory and research and development space.

“My professional passion is helping my clients find the perfect space for them to operate and grow their businesses,” Deatly said. “Tributary’s approach to relationship-building and ensuring the long-term success of clients fits how I have always thought about doing business. An active advocate for youth in the metro Denver community, Deatly is a founding member of Colorado Connect Youth Organization and sits on the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Colorado and Denver Young Life. Mike is a graduate of the Leadership Denver program and serves on the board of directors for the Association for Corporate Growth Denver.

 

Robert Bratley joins JLL’s Denver Capital Markets team

JLL Capital Markets announced today that it has added Robert Bratley as a senior director in its Denver office. In this role, Bratley will work alongside JLL’s Jordan Robbins and Pam Koster to complete multi-housing investment sales advisory transactions throughout Colorado and the Western United States, with a particular focus on middle-market transactions.

“Over the past year we have seen an increased investor focus on the middle-market segment of the multi-housing sector,” said Eric Tupler, senior managing director and head of JLL’s Denver Capital Markets practice. “We’re looking forward to having an industry veteran like Robert join the team and deliver a more specialized approach to this particular segment for our clients.”

With more than 12 years of experience in commercial real estate, Bratley has successfully completed more than $330 million of multi-housing transactions across the Denver area for a variety of clients. Prior to joining JLL, he worked as a first vice president and director at two global commercial real estate firms.

Bratley earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University. He is also a member of the Denver Metro Commercial Association of REALTORS.

“I’m excited to join Jordan and Pam’s advisory team and expand the presence of JLL on middle-market multi-housing investment sales throughout the region,” Bratley added.

 

SmithGroup Hires Jen Riedl to Lead Business Development in Denver

SmithGroup has hired Jennifer (Jen) Riedl as a director of business development in the firm’s Denver office. Riedl will work to enhance the firm’s presence in the Rocky Mountain region by connecting clients requiring design strategy and solutions with SmithGroup’s healthcare and higher education experts.

“Jen is focused on building relationships and understanding each client’s long-term needs,” says Brad Woodman, director of SmithGroup’s Denver and Phoenix offices. “Her experience and understanding of the Denver market makes her an excellent partner for healthcare, higher education and business leaders who require integrated and strategic design solutions to set them apart.”

Riedl will work in partnership with Health studio leader Brenna Costello and Higher Education studio leader Mecayla Cobbto cultivate and maintain key relationships with higher education and healthcare leaders in Denver and across the Rocky Mountain region.

SmithGroup’s recent healthcare and higher education clients in the region include Craig Hospital, Centura Health, Children’s Hospital Colorado, Colorado Mesa University, Colorado State University, and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, among others.

Prior to joining SmithGroup, Riedl was a senior business development manager for Mortenson Construction where she focused on building key relationships with higher education, commercial and civic leaders in Denver and throughout Colorado.

Riedl graduated with Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies, Master of Architecture and Master of Science in Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently the Leadership Connections Committee Lead for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Colorado Women’s Leadership Initiative. She is also serving on the board of the Montessori Academy of Colorado.

Prior to joining Sterling Ranch Development Company, Susan served in a variety of prominent positions, including her role as a White House presidential appointee, serving as the Region VIII director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human (USDHHS); an elected Colorado state legislator for HD 38 (Littleton, CO); office director in the Department of Human Services; an elected Arapahoe County commissioner and chair of the board of Arapahoe County Commissioners, chair of the Centennial Airport, chair of the Metro Area County Commissioners, and president of the Colorado Counties Front Range District Commissioners.  She also served as a director with the Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Network Board.

Susan received the prestigious Gates Family Foundation Fellowship and attended the John F Kennedy School of Government Executive Education Program at Harvard University. Susan’s introduction to local government was when she was elected to the Littleton City Council.
