BMC Investments Names Michael Robertson Chief Legal and Compliance Officer and Partner

BMC Investments (“BMC”), a Denver-based vertically integrated real estate firm, has named Michael Robertson as a partner and chief legal and compliance officer. In this role, Robertson will lead and oversee all litigation, risk management and regulatory compliance efforts across the company, ensuring robust governance and legal integrity throughout BMC’s operations.

“Michael’s addition represents a meaningful step in strengthening our platform as BMC continues to scale and reinforces our commitment to disciplined growth, managing risk and the highest standards of governance,” commented Matt Joblon, founding partner and CEO of BMC Investments.

Before joining BMC, Robertson was a partner at an Am Law 200 firm and practiced at a leading litigation boutique in Denver. While in private practice, Robertson served as trial counsel for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to professional sports organizations, including the Denver Broncos Football Club, in complex matters nationwide. He also acted as corporate counsel to Colorado-based real estate developers and private equity firms, advising on transactional and risk-related matters.

Robertson holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication and business administration from Louisiana State University.

Robertson is the latest addition to BMC Investment’s leadership team as part of an intentional expansion of the investment firm, which is growing across the Denver metro area and the country, including its development of Cherry Lane, the largest redevelopment project in Cherry Creek North. 

Henry Group Promotes Erik Coombs to Director of Property Management

Henry Group announced the promotion of Erik Coombs to director of property management. In this role, Erik will oversee the firm’s property management strategy, lead operational improvements, and continue to strengthen client relationships across Henry Group’s growing portfolio. Erik brings more than a decade of experience in real estate purchasing, development, consulting, and management. Known for his strategic insight and commitment to service, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership as senior property manager.

Erik’s background also includes professional golf experience and building strong relationships across both individual and institutional financial sectors. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado, a Colorado Real Estate License, several Colorado insurance licenses, and additional industry accreditations.

Howell Construction Welcomes New Team Members to Support Growth

Howell Construction is excited to introduce several new members to the team, including Senior Superintendent Sam Randel and Estimating Coordinator Lauren Frederick.

Backed by over twenty years of experience, Sam Randel joins the team as a Senior Superintendent. With a degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Sam brings extensive experience leading large-scale projects, making him an invaluable addition to our team. At Howell, Sam will oversee projects, coordinate trade partners and suppliers, uphold quality standards, and ensure on-site safety compliance.

With more than nine years of experience in vendor coordination, data management, and project financial tracking, Lauren Frederick joins Howell as an Estimating Coordinator. Her depth of experience and determination make her a strong addition to our preconstruction team.
