Following a long delay, Vancouver, Canada-based Amacon is expected to break ground on a two-tower, 461-unit condo project at the end of March. The project will replace the former Shelby’s Bar & Grill, which has already been demolished on the roughly 0.7 acres site.
Amacon will serve as the developer and general contractor for the two-tower, 461-unit condo project. Davis Partnership Architects is the architect of record.
The development will consist of more than 540,000 square feet of residential space, about 13,000 square feet of retail, and nearly 249,000 square feet of parking, according to plans filed with the city. The two point towers will each stretch out of a nine-story base, one will be 38 stories and the other will be 32 stories.
According to city records, the project will be the largest condo project by unit count in downtown Denver since the 42-story, 493-unit Spire at 891 14th St. was built in 2009.
Mile High CRE will provide more information when it becomes available.
