La Vista Motel, the newly refurbished historic motel on East Colfax, will host a Hudson Street Arch Lift Viewing party on Monday, Feb. 2, from 7 to 10 p.m., inviting the community to celebrate both a major Colfax Bus Rapid Transit milestone and the revival of one of the corridor’s longtime landmarks.
“Being able to host the Arch Lift Viewing Party at La Vista makes the moment feel extra special,” said Nathan Beal, owner and developer of La Vista Motel. “We’re proud to be part of a project that will make East Colfax more connected and accessible, while also honoring the character that’s always defined this place.”
Presented in partnership with the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit project team and the Colfax Mayfair Business Improvement District (BID), the event celebrates the installation of the new BRT station arch directly in front of La Vista Denver, placing the motel at the center of one of Denver’s most significant infrastructure projects.
Originally opened in 1956, La Vista Denver has recently reopened following a thoughtful renovation that blends midcentury motel charm with modern amenities. Guests attending the viewing party are invited to explore the property and grab a drink at the onsite bar and coffee shop, El Piñon, where the first 30 guests will receive a complimentary drink ticket.
When the arch lift begins at 8 p.m., guests can choose their viewing experience from the bar, patio, or rooftop before settling in to enjoy a DJ spinning until 10 p.m. and the motel’s retro-inspired atmosphere.
Food will be available from nearby small businesses while supplies last, with additional East Colfax neighborhood favorites, including Catfish King, Supreme Chicken, Mod Livin,’ Zula Liquors, and Denver Upholstery, featured during the event.
Guests will also have the opportunity to sign up for The Fax Pass, East Colfax BRT’s small business support passport featuring deals and incentives from participating businesses along East Colfax.
