JHL Constructors celebrated the grand opening of the Southpark Pickleball Complex on Saturday, January 31, 2026The event brought together representatives from South Suburban Park and Recreation District (SSPRD)the Highlands Ranch Metro District, along with an astounding community presence to celebrate this collaborative achievement and exciting new community recreation destination.

The Southpark Pickleball Complex, developed through a partnership between SSPRD and the Highlands Ranch Metro District, delivers a premier outdoor pickleball facility just south of Denver. The complex features 19 lighted outdoor pickleball courts, two shade structures with picnic areas, restrooms, ADA walkways, low-water landscaping and irrigation, and ample parking to serve players and visitors of all ages and skill levels.

“Seeing the courts filled with players and community members on opening day was incredibly rewarding. This project is about more than building courts; it’s about creating a space that’s active, welcoming, and energizing for the community from day one,” said Joel Reeves, senior project manager at JHL.

Located at near South Broadway and County Line Road in Highlands Ranch, the facility addresses the growing demand for dedicated pickleball amenities in the region. The west courts (courts #1-10) are managed by SSPRD, while the east courts (courts #11-19) are managed by Highlands Ranch Metro District, offering flexible court use that accommodates drop-in play, reservations, leagues, clinics, camps, and more. The courts are open daily for play, currently on a drop-in basis from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., with reservations and program offerings beginning in Spring 2026.

This project reflects JHL Constructors’ ongoing commitment to building quality community spaces and Building Colorado’s Future. For more information about the Southpark Pickleball Complex and upcoming programming, visit www.ssprd.org and www.highlandsranch.org.
