Located at Denargo Market, from joint venture partners Golub & Company and Formativ and operator DrinkDenver, Hopscotch Beer Garden is slated to open in late winter 2026, offering a menu of draft beer, wine, kombucha and canned cocktails alongside a small selection of ready-to-eat light bites and a rotating schedule of food trucks. A central gathering place and social anchor for this pocket of the River North Art District (RiNo), Hopscotch will feature casual outdoor seating, seasonal programming, weekly happenings and community events. Hopscotch will also welcome on-leash dogs throughout the space.
“The opening of Hopscotch is a milestone for not only the Denargo Market development, but the surrounding neighborhood,” said Laura Newman, vice president of investment and development at Golub & Co. “Today, there are more than 3,000 residential units that surround the soon-to-open beer garden, and there are virtually no walk-to dining or retail concepts. Hopscotch will be one of the first food and beverage concept to service what’s currently an amenity desert – and in time, we hope it will become the heartbeat of an energetic community.”
Denargo Market is a new, multi-phased urban development that will offer an elevated blend of residential, retail, office and hospitality—all woven together by world-class public spaces. Zoned for over three million square feet of vertical development, Denargo Market is envisioned as a connected, day-to-night destination that will become the preeminent place to live, work and play in the Mile High City.
Designed in partnership with Sasaki, Hopscotch will feature more than 17,000 square feet of bar and patio space, with casual outdoor seating ideal to enjoy Denver’s 300+ days of sunshine – and a reinforced heated tent structure for cooler months. It will also feature an additional seating and flexible event space; a turf field for lawn games and pick-up volleyball, soccer and badminton; and more.
The casual environment will offer seasonal programming, community events, and weekly happenings that take advantage of the half-acre green lawn that sits directly adjacent to Hopscotch. Programmed by operator DrinkDenver, these events include watch parties, trivia nights and weekly happy hours, to bike-in move nights and fitness on the lawn.
“Hopscotch will lend itself to a community-first gathering place where nearby residents and neighbors can spend an afternoon with one another, grab a spontaneous post-run or ride beer or pop-in for a nightcap,” said Alison Nestel-Patt, director of development and user experience at Formativ. “Our hope is to become the go-to neighborhood spot, where everyone is welcome, that fosters connectivity and energy for Denargo Market and, more broadly, Denver.”
