Jack’s Modern Steakhouse, the award-winning, family-owned Denver restaurant known to locals as Jack’s on Pearl, is expanding south with a second location opening Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Lone Tree. Located in the former Mimi’s Café at 9155 Park Meadows Drive, the new restaurant will bring Jack’s signature elevated dining experience to the suburbs, complete with new menu offerings, a refined atmosphere and sweeping Rocky Mountain views.
Created by Steve Lockton and named after Lockton’s father, Jack, the restaurant’s first location in Denver opened in 2022 with a vision to fuse bold flavors, stunning presentation and an upscale yet approachable atmosphere in the city’s growing dining scene. Over time, it has become a local favorite, known for its dry-aged fish and seafood programming, 75-day wet-aged beef, sashimi bar and thoughtfully curated cocktail and wine programs.
Blending the nostalgic charm of the former Mimi’s Cafe with Jack’s signature style, the new Lone Tree location—designed by a global design and architecture consultancy Zebra—offers a refined yet welcoming space for the community to gather. Spanning 5,700 square feet, the restaurant features an expanded kitchen, significantly larger than Pearl’s, along with a first-floor private event space that accommodates up to 175 guests. Upstairs, guests will find two intimate private dining rooms, a main dining area, and a lively bar and lounge. The design also includes a 595-square-foot outdoor patio with stunning views of the Rockies connected to the bar, perfectly complementing Lone Tree’s relaxed, social atmosphere.
Frontline Construction Group is the general contractor for the project.
This move aligns with the nationwide trend of premium dining expanding beyond urban cores into fast-growing suburban nodes, serving customers who want sophistication and convenience close to home.
“Opening in Lone Tree feels like bringing Jack’s home,” said Jack’s President Darryl Shoemake, who lives in the community. “After years of seeing the area’s incredible growth, and hearing from guests and neighbors craving a great dining experience without heading to Denver, it just made sense. Repurposing the former Mimi’s space allowed us to build on a familiar foundation and create something fresh. It felt like the perfect way to serve a community I’m proud to call home.”
The Lone Tree menu will mirror Jack’s on Pearl’s offerings but will exclusively serve Wagyu beef. Guests can still enjoy favorites like pecan shrimp, lemongrass scallops, sashimi, creative cocktails and an inspired wine list, while also exploring an expanded selection of new dishes available only at this location.
Jack’s has earned numerous accolades, including the Diners’ Choice Award (2024 and 2025), People’s Choice Awards at the Denver RARE Competition (Best Steak, Best Seafood) and Best Whiskey Cocktail in Colorado at Stranahan’s Barrel Royale. Jack’s Modern Steakhouse also ranks #1 as Yelp’s highest-rated steakhouse in Denver.
“We’re thrilled to bring Jack’s signature dishes, like our award-winning Champion Filet and Triple Combo Sashimi, to Lone Tree, while also experimenting with new creations that celebrate the community’s local flavor,” Chef Oscar Diaz Lechuga said. “Food has always been our way of connecting people, and that’s exactly what we want to bring to Lone Tree; a place where guests can gather, unwind and enjoy.”
Jack’s Modern Steakhouse Lone Tree location will officially open to the public on Tuesday, January 6, with a grand opening celebration on January 10. The restaurant will serve lunch Monday through Friday starting at 11:30 a.m., host happy hour daily from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., offer dinner Monday through Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., and feature weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bar service will be available Sunday through Thursday until 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 11 p.m.
