Longtime La Loma owners Renée Brinkerhoff and son William Brinkerhoff Jr. opened the brand’s newest location in the Denver Tech Center on Thursday, August 21. Located at 8000 East Belleview Ave., Suite G-10 in Greenwood Village, La Loma DTC joins the duo’s other locations in Parker and downtown Denver’s McGregor Square.
“Opening our newest La Loma in the Denver Tech Center is such a special moment for us,” Renée said. “Our team has poured endless hours, hard work and passion into bringing this location to life, and I am so proud of what we’ve created together. We can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors, share our award-winning recipes, and create new memories with them. It truly means the world to us to be a part of this community, and we are so grateful to share this new chapter.”
The Brinkerhoff family opened La Loma in 1980 in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood, and it’s been serving family recipes ever since. The DTC restaurant seats 255, and features a bar, covered outdoor patio, and terrace, and can house private events for up to 100.
The La Loma team renovated the space, installing brick walls, copper ceilings and bathroom fixtures, and custom flooring to make it true to the La Loma design that guests know and love. Waner Construction was the general contractor for the project. Owner Renee Brinkerhoff played the role of interior designer for La Loma DTC, including all of the artwork and floral arrangements.
Under the direction of Culinary Director Paco Romeo, the DTC location will offer all the beloved La Loma favorites, many accented by its famous award-winning Hatch green chile and served on one of its house-made flour tortillas.
“We’re proud to offer all the dishes that guests have enjoyed for decades,” Romeo said. “Whether they visit us in Denver, Parker or in our newest location in Greenwood Village, they’ll continue to recognize the same high-quality ingredients and recipes that many have loved for generations.”
A selection of appetizers includes mini chile rellenos, flautas, and chile con queso; taco salad and chicken tortilla soup are among the soups and salads offered. Signature entrees include the Texas Platter, featuring grilled New York strip steak, topped with grilled onions and fried serrano chiles, served with a smothered chile relleno and black beans; and a variety of fajitas – including chicken, steak, shrimp, veggie and mixed – served from sizzling platters.
Beverage offerings include fresh-squeezed margaritas, such as the spicy El Diablo and the Barrel-Aged Coin, made with La Loma’s signature barrel-aged Herradura tequila. House, Cadillac and flavored margaritas are available as singles or pitchers. Beer, wines and craft cocktails are also offered, as is an extensive tequila menu.
La Loma DTC is open for lunch and dinner, Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Happy Hour, offering drink and appetizer specials, is offered Monday through Friday from 3-6 p.m.
