Monfort Companies, a community-minded investment and development company based in Colorado, has signed a 10-year lease at 1900 Lawrence, a newly completed Class A office tower in downtown Denver. This lease represents a new chapter for Monfort as it continues to scale its operations and invest in the long-term vibrancy of Denver’s urban core. The company will move into its new headquarters in October 2025.

With the recent launch of Monfort Investment Corp., the firm’s asset management business, the time had come to find a space that reflects its growing team, expanded service offerings and long-term vision. “We wanted a space that could grow with us while keeping us rooted in the center of the city,” said Kenneth Monfort, executive vice president at Monfort Companies. “We’re deeply committed to shaping downtown Denver’s future, and 1900 Lawrence gives us the infrastructure, energy and visibility to keep doing that work at a high level.”

Located just two blocks from Monfort’s current office near Coors Field, 1900 Lawrence is a 30-story, 700,000-square-foot office tower developed by Riverside Investment and Development and designed by Goettsch Partners. The building offers 10,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, six levels of above-grade parking and two levels of underground parking.

The building’s next-generation amenities were a key factor in the decision to relocate. Highlights include:

  • A top-tier fitness center with yoga and group exercise studios
  • High-end locker rooms with towel service
  • Rooftop pickleball courts
  • A state-of-the-art golf simulator
  • Multiple indoor/outdoor lounge and common areas
  • The Mile High Terrace, offering panoramic views of downtown and the mountains

“Monfort Companies will be right at home in 1900 Lawrence,” said David Shirazi, senior vice president at JLL, who represented Monfort in the lease transaction. “The quality of construction and depth of amenities set this building apart, offering the kind of elevated workplace experience that’s increasingly important in the downtown market.”

“1900 Lawrence was developed for organizations that value performance, efficiency and a long-term presence in the urban core,” Greg Pierce, senior vice president at Riverside Investment and Development, added. “Monfort reflects those values, and we’re pleased to welcome them to the building.”

The lease aligns with Monfort’s long-term investment in downtown, particularly the Ballpark and LoDo neighborhoods. The company is currently moving forward with a new mixed-use development at 1962 Market St. and 1320 20th St. This project joins a growing portfolio of Monfort-led destinations in the area, including Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row and Riot House, designed to bring lasting energy and activation to the evolving district.

Denver-based Projex will lead the design and furniture selection for the new space, ensuring it reflects Monfort’s culture, growth and forward-looking goals.

1900 Lawrence was recently recognized by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) as an Award of Excellence winner in the Best Tall Building Americas category of the CTBUH 2025 Awards Program. Read more about this award, here.
