
CBRE Expands Denver-Based Hotels Team for Second Time in 2025
CBRE has announced that Zak Brodstein has joined its Denver office as an associate specializing in hotel advisory. He joins the CBRE Hotels team in Denver, partnering with Mark Darrington, Larry Kaplan, and Christy McDougall, focusing on hotel and resort transaction services across the Mountain West, Midwest, and Desert Southwest.
Brodstein joins CBRE with a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, including five years in hospitality commercial real estate at Hodges Ward Elliot, where he specialized in institutional-grade hotel and resort transactions and concluded his tenure as a vice president in the Hospitality Investment Advisory practice. Brodstein has completed hospitality transactions with over $2 billion in consideration since 2021. Prior to this role, he was the guest service and housekeeping manager at Kimpton EPIC Hotel in downtown Miami and was awarded the No.1 hotel in Miami by Condé Nast Traveler during this tenure.

According to CBRE’s U.S. Hotel Investor Inventions Survey 2025, Denver ranked among the 15 most attractive markets for hotels investment in North America. The CBRE Hotels team was ranked as the #1 brokerage in Denver in 2024 and the first half of 2025, according to Real Estate Alert.
Brodstein is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
Kolter Multifamily Names Eric Veith as New Vice President of Development

Kolter Multifamily LLC, an affiliate of Delray Beach, Florida’s The Kolter Group LLC, announced the appointment of Eric Veith as vice president for Colorado and Utah. In this role, Veith will oversee development efforts in the region, including site acquisitions, entitlements, new construction, and asset management.

Veith brings a wealth of experience in real estate development, having managed the land acquisition, entitlements, and permitting for Gables Residential throughout the Western US. Before Gables, Eric worked in multifamily investment sales for JLL, HFF, and Pinnacle Advisors. A Denver native, Eric holds bachelor’s degrees in international affairs and German language from the University of Colorado.
