Aspendale, a new active adult housing brand by Headwaters Group, hosted a grand opening celebration on Monday, October 20, for Aspendale Centennial, featuring remarks and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Stephanie Piko. Located at 13857 E. Arapahoe Pl., the four-story, 172-home community introduces a fresh approach to living for adults aged 55 and above, one centered on independence, connection and wellness.

Aspendale Centennial represents a new model for age-restricted housing, bridging the gap between traditional multifamily apartments and full-service senior living. The community offers maintenance-free residences, abundant amenities and lifestyle programming designed to foster active, social and fulfilling lives for residents.

“Aspendale Centennial brings a new kind of housing choice to Centennial, one that empowers older adults to live independently while staying engaged and connected to the community around them,” said Angie Erickson, community manager at Aspendale Centennial. “This project reflects both a growing demographic need and the belief that housing for older adults should be vibrant, modern and deeply rooted in community.”

By providing a thoughtfully designed housing alternative for older adults, Aspendale Centennial also supports the city’s long-term goals for economic vitality and neighborhood growth. The community is expected to attract new residents to Centennial, individuals looking to downsize or relocate closer to family and will contribute to the local economy through resident spending, employment opportunities and community partnerships.

Aspendale Centennial is now welcoming its first residents, with one- and two-bedroom apartment homes available. Each home includes modern finishes, high ceilings, stainless steel appliances and layouts designed for ease and comfort.
