Urban Egg Downtown Denver opened Monday, August 25, at 1550 Wewatta St. This marks the brand’s third location in Denver, 11th location overall, and the second to feature its newly designed prototype, following the Fort Worth Alliance opening earlier this summer. The restaurant showcases refreshed branding, elevated design elements and the distinctive architecture of the Triangle Building.
The bright, contemporary space is characterized by floor-to-ceiling windows and modern architecture. The open-concept layout seats 119 guests indoors, including a large bar area featuring a playful “Sip. Savor. Smile.” neon sign and padded, swiveling bar stools. The 44-seat partially covered outdoor patio features comfortable EMU Mom chairs. Guests are also invited to contribute to the “wishing wall,” where they can write wishes, hopes or mantras on provided stationery, which are then pinned onto a heart-shaped display.
“Fitting the Urban Egg name, this new location is a beautiful, truly urban space that fits seamlessly in downtown Denver,” said Randy Price, founder of Urban Egg. “It feels like a natural fit for us, and we’re excited to fuel the economy as Urban Egg and the downtown community continue to grow and evolve, all while staying true to our commitment to fresh ingredients and thoughtful hospitality.”
Urban Egg serves inventive takes on breakfast, brunch and lunch favorites. Signature dishes include the Billion $$$ Bourbon Bacon, Chicken & the Egg, Huevos Rancheros and the always-popular assorted Gourmet Pancake Flight. Guests can also enjoy all-natural juice blends, a bold Hazelnut Cold Brew, or brunch cocktails like the Breakfast Old Fashioned, Aperol Spritz and a surprisingly affordable bottle of Moët. Whether dining in, ordering delivery or take-out, or planning catering or private events, the downtown Denver restaurant is a go-to destination for nearby offices, visitors and residents alike.
Urban Egg sources locally whenever possible, and Colorado suppliers include Horsetooth Hot Sauce, Polidori Sausage, Blue Hummingbird Gluten Free Foods, Hickman’s Eggs, Rocky Mountain Spice Company, Colorado Tortilla Company, Bee Squared Honey and Elevation Ketchup. Local beverage partners include Barista Espresso, The Tea Spot and Mile High Spirits.
Urban Egg currently spans Colorado’s Front Range with nine locations across Fort Collins, Johnstown, Denver and Colorado Springs. The brand is also growing in Texas and the Kansas City metro area, with a recent opening in Fort Worth, and second locations planned for both areas in 2025 and 2026. The brand plans to open six new locations overall in 2026, throughout Colorado, Kansas and Texas, with more locations planned into 2027 and beyond.
“Opening our doors in downtown Denver is more than just a new location; it’s a reflection of how far we’ve come,” said Mark Augarten, CEO of Urban Egg. “We’re excited to bring our signature brunch and warm hospitality to the heart of the city, in a space that feels fresh, inviting and full of possibilities. This new restaurant represents our continued investment in the community; from creating local jobs to becoming a neighborhood staple guests can count on. This is just the start.”
In the spirit of community and giving back, Urban Egg Downtown Denver partnered with Food For Thought, a Denver-based nonprofit on a mission to combat school-age children’s hunger issues. Proceeds from alcohol sales during the restaurant’s soft opening will help fund the organization’s mission to provide nutritious weekend meals to children in need. Additionally, all Denver Urban Egg restaurants are donating $1 from each monthly feature – the Crispy French Toast and Back-to-Bed Cold Brew – to the non-profit the entire month of August.
“Urban Egg was born in Colorado, and as we continue to grow into new neighborhoods, we never forget where we started,” said Price. “We’re incredibly grateful to our Colorado community for their loyalty and love over the years—it’s the reason we’re able to keep doing what we do. The free coffee promotion with our locally roasted Barista Espresso is just a small way for us to say thank you to the guests who’ve supported us from the very beginning.”
To celebrate, the first 20 dine-in tables each day on Monday, August 25, through Wednesday, August 27, will receive a special gift: an Urban Egg travel mug and free coffee for a year, valid through August 27, 2026. The exclusive offer is available to dine-in guests only, who must present the mug to redeem their free coffee.
