With limited inventory of affordable housing in Denver, combined with the challenges of developing more, Denver needs to focus its efforts on preserving its existing affordable housing. The Housing Preservation Network (HPN) is a program launched by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) to focus on preserving the state’s existing affordable housing stock. In its first year, the network’s efforts preserved 4,977 affordable rental units statewide.
