3 New Restaurants Set to Open in 2027 at HiFi at FlatIron Crossing

Three new restaurants, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Memoir An American Grill, and Shake Shack are coming to HiFi at FlatIron Crossing as part of the property’s ongoing redevelopment. All are slated to open in 2027.

Memoir – An American Grill is a first-to-Colorado dining destination, Blue Sushi Sake Grill is the first North Denver metro location for this vibrant seafood concept, and Shake Shack will be the popular brand’s first Broomfield location. Bringing unique restaurants to its top-performing retail properties is a proven Macerich strategy for driving customer traffic and engagement.

“People today want unique, in-person experiences where they can make memories, in addition to finding their favorite stores at Macerich’s best retail properties,” said Guy Mercurio, director of national restaurant leasing, Macerich. “Memoir An American Grill, Blue Sushi Sake Grill, and Shake Shack add to the exciting and varied, best-in-class food and beverage offerings we are bringing to HiFi, with more terrific restaurant names still to come. At FlatIron Crossing, HiFi will combine with our powerful indoor retail setting to create an engaging, experience-rich environment that benefits the entire campus.”

Both Memoir and Blue Sushi Sake Grill are part of the Omaha-based Flagship Restaurant Group, known for creating memorable dining concepts that pair creative menus with welcoming atmospheres.

Memoir: An American Grill blends grilled classics, modern comfort food, and thoughtful design into an approachable yet elevated dining experience. Memoir celebrates connection — where stories are shared over flame-seared dishes and crafted cocktails. The open-hearth kitchen and central bar invite conversation, while the menu showcases reimagined American favorites alongside sustainably sourced seafood and sushi selections that reflect Flagship’s Conscious Earth® mission.

“Memoir was built to feel both new and familiar—a place to create and revisit great memories,” said Nick Hogan, CEO and co-owner of Flagship Restaurant Group. “Bringing that warmth and creativity to HiFi is an exciting next chapter for our team.”

Blue Sushi Sake Grill, Flagship Restaurant Group’s signature brand, will offer a lively, social space where guests can enjoy a mix of creative sushi, craft cocktails, and shareable plates in a colorful, modern setting. First opened in Omaha in 2002, Blue Sushi Sake Grill has grown to 24 locations nationwide.

“FlatIron Crossing’s new HiFi district perfectly aligns with Blue Sushi’s energy—dynamic, youthful, and experience-driven,” said Anthony Hitchcock, COO and co-owner of Flagship Restaurant Group. “We’re excited to bring our signature sushi and spirited hospitality to the Broomfield community.”

Guests can expect Blue Sushi’s famous all day every day Happy Hour, playful atmosphere, and a modern design that merges Japanese-inspired motifs with the brand’s vibrant personality and commitment to ocean conservation.

FlatIron Crossing

Located in Broomfield, along the busy US-36 corridor between Denver and Boulder, Macerich’s FlatIron Crossing is a major retail property with more than 175 popular retailers including Apple, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Dillard’s, Macy’s, lululemon, Victoria’s Secret, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma – plus newly opened stores for Anthropologie, LEGO, OFFLINE by Aerie, SweetPlay and more.

Now under construction adjacent to the enclosed retail center, HiFi at FlatIron Crossing is a 25-acre mixed-use community hub for “all things fun.” Set to open in phases beginning in 2027, HiFi at FlatIron Crossing will feature 90,000 square feet of new retail and dining, anchored by the 40,000 square-foot “eatertainment” concept Pindustry, and complemented by NOVEL HiFi’s 347 multifamily residential units. Original property anchor AMC Theatres will continue to be an important part of the redevelopment. Lush green spaces for concerts, fitness classes and more will add to the year-round energy at this exceptional property in fast-growing Broomfield.
