Our Savior’s Lutheran Church recently submitted a concept plan to the city proposing the construction of a new 4-story, 58-unit, senior affordable housing project at 915 E. 9th Ave. in Denver. The project will require public funding.

Concept plans also call for the demolition of one wing of the church that was built in the early 2000s but is currently not in use.

The church is partnering with Montana-based BlueLine Development and Shop Work Architects to develop a 44,000-square-foot project on a half-acre parcel of the church property. Concept plans also include 15 parking spaces.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church hopes to break ground Jan. 1, 2027, according to concept plans.

Residents of the senior housing development must be 55 years or older and make 40% to 70% of the area median income.

BlueLine Development is also currently constructing a 34-unit senior housing development in Glenwood Springs and has numerous other supportive housing developments either in planning or underway in the Denver metro area.
