PCL Construction, in partnership with Tryba Architects, Norris Design, and Wells Partnership, officially broke ground on December 3 on a $90.5 million mixed-use hospitality redevelopment in the heart of Frisco, launching a transformational project that blends modern hospitality amenities with the preservation of one of Frisco’s most recognizable historic properties.
Located between Fifth and Sixth streets on Main Street, the 108,000-square-foot development will feature a 75-key Tribute Portfolio hotel from the Marriott Bonvoy Collection, three stories above ground and one below. The hotel will offer a mix of room types, including five historic cabin suites, as well as well-appointed bathrooms, welcoming balconies, and expansive windows.
In partnership with the Foote family and Marriott International, the development team has created a brand identity and user experience that honors the history of Frisco and the Foote family, considers the unique Tribute Portfolio guest mindset and portfolio requirements, and reestablishes this iconic Main Street block as the heart of Frisco.
Amenities will include:
- A signature restaurant and bar serving wood-fired cuisine
- Rooftop spa, pool and bar
- Ballroom and boardroom spaces
- Underground bowling entertainment venue
- Topgolf Swing Suites
- Ground-floor retail shops
Since the early 1900s, the Foote’s Rest site and buildings have been an integral part of the town’s community. An assayer’s office, a town hall, a post office, a community gathering place, and a sweet shoppe, the legacy of gathering on this iconic Main Street block runs deep.
The redevelopment will also honor Frisco’s history by relocating and restoring six historic structures, including the Staley House, blacksmith shop and three log cabins. These buildings will be integrated into the new town center, maintaining the character of the property while introducing modern hospitality experiences.
“We are proud to support the Frisco community and honor the Foote family legacy through this redevelopment,” said Mauricio Ramos, vice president and district manager at PCL. “Preserving history while building for the future is one of our greatest responsibilities, and we are thrilled to embrace that opportunity.”
This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to care, quality and vision. Construction is underway, with completion expected late 2027.
