This summer, the Academy for Construction Excellence is bringing two practical professional development courses to Denver, giving contractors, consultants, marketers, project managers and business developers the opportunity to learn directly from industry experts and gain actionable strategies they can immediately apply to their work.
Developed with the guidance of an advisory council that has more than 200 years of combined construction education experience in all facets of the construction industry, the Academy for Construction Excellence is designed to help construction professionals reach their full potential through tailored training programs and expert guidance.
June 16: Winning Qualification-Based Selection Work
The “Winning Qualification-Based Selection Work” course will give attendees practical tactics to improve their pursuit strategies and help them stand out in competitive selection processes. This event is led by Margaret Kinsey, director of design & pursuits at Small Giants—a full-service marketing agency building brand worth for commercial real estate, architecture, and engineering firms.

July 14: Business Development – The Seller-Doer Model
On July 14, the Academy for Construction Excellence will host “Business Development: The Seller-Doer Model,” a course designed to help attendees understand how to effectively balance business development with project execution.
Led by Danielle Feroleto, owner and president of Small Giants, attendees will explore the seller-doer model and its relevance in the construction industry, learn techniques for managing both relationship-building and project responsibilities, identify key skills needed to succeed in a seller-doer role, and develop strategies that strengthen collaboration between business development and project teams.
