Smalls Sliders is continuing its Colorado expansion with the opening of its second location in the state in Johnstown, Colorado. A celebratory “Can Drop” held on June 23 marked another milestone in the fast-growing cheeseburger slider franchise’s growth across the Mountain West.
Located at 4781 Thompson Pkwy, the Johnstown Can will be owned and operated by veteran franchise group Mountain Sliders and franchise partners Nick and Alix Ralls. The opening follows the successful debut of the brand’s first Colorado location in Northglenn earlier this year and advances the group’s multi-unit development strategy throughout the state. Additional locations are planned, including a future Can in Green Valley Ranch.
“From the beginning, we believed Colorado was a strong fit for the Smalls Sliders concept, and the response we’ve seen in Northglenn has reinforced that,” said Nick Ralls, co-owner of Mountain Sliders. “Johnstown is another exciting step in our growth across the state. We’re looking forward to becoming part of the community and continuing to build momentum as we expand our Colorado footprint.”
Known for its signature Smorange™ shipping-container restaurants, Smalls Sliders has become one of the fastest-growing emerging restaurant concepts in the country. The brand’s eye-catching, modular footprint allows it to efficiently enter growing communities while serving a focused menu of fresh, cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries and hand-spun milkshakes. The concept’s streamlined design also provides flexibility as Smalls continues expanding into high-growth markets across the country.
Construction Concepts, Inc. is serving as the construction partner for the Johnstown project, helping bring the brand’s distinctive Can design to life. As Smalls Sliders continues growing across Colorado, projects like Johnstown demonstrate the collaboration between experienced franchise operators, trusted construction partners, and communities welcoming new commercial investment. With additional Colorado locations already planned, the brand’s momentum across the state shows no signs of slowing.
