Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp Hires New Managing Director in Denver

Donald Buti

Mission Capital Advisors (MCA), a leading national loan sales advisory, due diligence, and capital markets firm and a subsidiary of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC), has announced that Donald Buti has joined the firm as a managing director in its Denver office. In this role, Buti will focus on expanding due diligence assignments with residential mortgage originators through Mission Global, the firm’s residential mortgage services platform, which provides due diligence and re-underwriting, regulatory compliance, securitization support, and whole loan trade execution.

Buti will work closely with Joseph Runk, principal at Mission Capital Advisors and CEO of Mission Global.

“With his experience across origination, credit, and the secondary market, Donald brings a well-rounded, execution-focused perspective to our platform,” said Runk. “His track record working with originators and financial institutions aligns with our efforts to scale our residential due diligence capabilities and deliver consistent results for our clients.”

With more than 25 years of lending experience, Buti offers a deep understanding of loan origination, credit risk analysis, investor relations, secondary market transactions, and mortgage asset evaluation. His experience working with financial institutions, investors, and lending organizations enables him to provide practical insight across loan sales, due diligence, and portfolio valuation.

Prior to joining Mission Capital, Buti served as senior vice president and division leader at Mountain View Bank of Commerce, where he built and led the bank’s residential lending platform from inception. In this role, he oversaw sales, operations, compliance, and growth strategy, and represented the division during FDIC examinations and independent audits.

Earlier in his career, Buti held leadership and origination roles with Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Capital, a mortgage banking firm he co-founded. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University.
