Elements, a leading integrated interiors partner focused on human-centric design and placemaking, has acquired OS | Schools and OS | Offices, a Colorado Springs-based commercial furniture company specializing in K-12 education, government and commercial environments.
The acquisition deepens Elements’ presence in southern Colorado while adding OS | Schools’ established K-12 expertise to its growing portfolio. Together, the companies will have teams across northern Colorado, Denver, southern Colorado and Wyoming, strengthening Elements’ ability to serve customers throughout the region.
The investment is guided by Elements’ purpose: to enrich the lives of our people, our clients and our community. That purpose serves as a north star for major decisions and is central to Elements’ continued investment in education. Strengthening its position in K-12 gives the company an opportunity to positively impact people from the beginning of their learning journey through every stage of their careers.
“OS | Schools and OS | Offices has built an exceptional reputation in Colorado Springs and a leading position in K-12, making this a natural next step for Elements,” said Traci Lounsbury, CEO and owner of Elements. “The last several years have made us much more intentional about how we grow and diversify our business. This acquisition adds an experienced team, deepens our expertise in education and government, and strengthens our presence in a market where we see significant opportunity, while building a more resilient business for the future.”
Colorado Springs represents an important growth market for the combined company, particularly given its concentration of aerospace, defense and cybersecurity employers. Elements also sees an opportunity to combine the companies’ government sales expertise and expand its GSA business across the region.
The acquisition builds on Elements’ broader strategy to diversify its business as the commercial interiors industry continues to evolve. Elements has long provided comprehensive solutions across the built environment, including commercial furnishings, workplace strategy, experiential design, prefabricated construction, flooring and related services. OS | Schools and OS | Offices add further diversification through new geography and greater exposure to education and government markets.
“Joining Elements gives us the opportunity to build on what has made OS successful for decades while bringing additional resources and capabilities to our team and customers,” said Peter Husak, owner and CEO of OS | Schools and OS | Offices. “We know this market, we know our customers and we’re excited about the opportunity to grow from an even stronger foundation.”
OS | Schools and OS | Offices will retain their names for the foreseeable future, with leadership and day-to-day operations remaining largely unchanged.
