Good news for buyers interested in small business ownership: There were 11 percent more small businesses up for sale in Colorado during the first quarter of 2017, than there were at the same time last year—median asking prices are also down from last year. Baby boomers appear to be fueling the market, taking advantage of favorable market conditions as they look to retire. Younger buyers are also helping to create a healthy market thanks to greater access to lending and an increase in more profitable businesses for sale.
