Canopy Aerospace a company that produces Thermal Protection Systems for spacecraft, has signed a 19,000-square-foot lease at 18,681 at 8101 Midway Drive, in Littleton. The Midway building will serve as Canopy’s new corporate headquarters.
“This building, with the modern office buildout, excellent loading, and warehouse space checked all the boxes for Canopy. The Landlord is excited to partner with this cutting-edge aerospace company as a tenant in the years to come,” stated Matt Call of NavPoint.
The landlord, DCP Midway LLC, was represented by Jeff Brandon and Matt Call of NavPoint Real Estate Group. The tenant, Canopy Aerospace Inc, was represented by Matt Harbert and Morgan Barstad of Raise Commercial Real Estate.
According to Harbert, the aerospace industry is expected to grow from $755B to $1047B over the next four years. With the second largest space economy in the country next to Cape Canaveral, Colorado has experienced a tremendous influx of commercial aerospace companies and startups flocking to the region looking to plant their corporate and operational flags. Due to Colorado’s premier talent, saturation of academic and research institutions, innovative and collaborative culture, and ample space and topography the state provides, companies and founders want to be part of its growing ecosystem.
NavPoint Real Estate Group, headquartered in Castle Rock, was founded in 2011 and has completed over 1,400 transactions totaling north of $1.2 billion in sales volume. NavPoint works throughout Colorado and the Western US, focusing on income-producing, investment-grade commercial real estate.
