South Platte Crossing, an important affordable housing project, celebrated a significant milestone today with a Topping Out ceremony. Over 100 guests, including subcontractors, key project partners, and members of Alliance Construction Solutions, gathered to honor the hard work and dedication of the teams whose efforts have been pivotal in bringing this project closer to fruition.
South Platte Crossing will feature a four-story residential building with 60 units and an additional parking floor, covering a total area of 76,358 square feet. The development emphasizes affordability and accessibility, located near local transit options. Additionally, the project includes a central green space and designated areas for local artists, fostering community engagement and creativity.
Alliance Construction Solutions hosted the event, celebrating the collective efforts that have brought the building to life. Guests enjoyed a BBQ lunch provided by Smokehouse BBQ, adding to the day’s festivities. Alliance recognizes Brinshore Development, LLC, Nesbitt Commercial Group, and the Urban Land Conservancy for their collaborative efforts as well as Carvell Architects for their exceptional design. The Topping Out event underscored the project’s collaborative spirit and the community’s anticipation of its completion. South Platte Crossing is poised to become a valued part of Commerce City, promoting connection, creativity, and a sense of belonging among its residents.
South Platte Crossing is located on 4.73 acres of land and is in an “opportunity zone,” making it a prime location for nonprofit organizations. The building is just off I-76 and is a community hub with several health and social service organizations.
