BOULDER — This Fall, Amazon will expand into a three-story, 37,000-square-foot office building in downtown Boulder at 1900 15th St., to accommodate the company’s advertising business and rapid growth.

“With Boulder’s technical talent and culture of innovation, Amazon is pleased to be bringing additional jobs to the city as its presence in Colorado grows,” according to an Amazon press release. “For reference, the company has created more than 1,500 full-time jobs in Colorado already – in less than 24 months – at corporate offices and customer fulfillment locations across the state.”

According to Amazon’s Vice President of Multichannel Advertising Tim Craycroft, the company first started building its advertising team in Boulder in July 2017.

“Boulder has a strong tech community, including a dynamic startup ecosystem and a number of more established companies,” he said. “Boulder also has a strong concentration of advertising tech talent. Then there’s the actual city itself. Boulder is a great place to live and work, especially if you enjoy outdoor adventure. Awesome road and mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, fishing, and skiing are all at your doorstep or a short drive away. Three hundred days of sun per year doesn’t hurt either.”

According to the Denver Post, Amazon has created more than 1,500 warehouse and office jobs and approximately 250 high-paid engineers in Denver, Boulder and Broomfield. The company is currently advertising IT and engineering jobs online at amazon.jobs.
