Architecture, engineering and survey firm Galloway & Company is moving their headquarters to 5500 Greenwood, a 71,000-square-foot office building located in Greenwood Village. The firm’s showcase headquarters will occupy 48 percent of the building in the 34,000-square-foot space. The company expects to move in by the end of 2021.

Transwestern’s Senior Vice President, David Shapiro, represented the landlord, Focus Property Group, and JLL’s Managing Directors, Tim Bourdelais and Mike Rooks, represented Galloway & Company.

Focus Property Group acquired 5500 Greenwood, a 71,000-square-foot office building, in 2018. Following the acquisition, Focus Property Group renovated the lobby and built a 18,000-square-foot coworking space that became the property group’s second location for their coworking brand Enterprise Coworking. Shapiro has been leasing the asset since 2006.

“We’ve seen activity pick up significantly this year,” said Ryan Simpson, vice president, Investments at Focus Property Group. “While companies are working out plans to return to the office, many others are getting ahead of the pack and into prime spaces.”

Galloway & Company was initially attracted to 5500 Greenwood’s prime Denver Tech Center location and the easy access to Interstate 25 and the light rail. The property is also close to the Landmark and an abundance of amenities. In addition to their new space, the company will have prominent signage visible from both northbound and southbound Interstate 25. The firm is planning extensive renovations to create their long-term showcase headquarters.

“5500 Greenwood is a solid office building, and Focus Property Group has done a great job of renovating the property,” said David Shapiro, Senior Vice President at Transwestern. “Between the prime location and the landlord’s responsiveness, we were able to negotiate with Galloway quickly.”

The architecture and engineering firm had been eyeing the space at 5500 Greenwood due to the proximity to the Landmark and the light rail. Galloway & Company had tremendous growth over the last several years, and with the new showcase headquarters, they continue to plan on expanding their business.
