A growing civil engineering firm with sights set on becoming a leader in the Southwest Region is expanding into the Colorado market. Arizona-based EPS Group, Inc. is opening its first Colorado office in Loveland, giving the firm the ability to serve clients across the entire Front Range, including the communities of Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley, as well as the Metro Denver market.
“EPS Group is not new to Colorado, we’ve partnered with clients on projects over the past four years, and the time is right to deepen our connections and open an office in the Front Range,” said EPS Group CEO Kathey Wagner. “We narrowed our focus quickly to the Northeastern section of the state, due the collaborative partnership between Larimer and Weld counties.”
The new EPS Group office is located at 3760 E. 15th St., Suite 101B in Loveland. The Loveland office is EPS Group’s fourth location and has now established offices in two states outside of Arizona. EPS Group, which has operations in California along with Arizona and Colorado, is also making progress on opening an office in Texas some time in 2022.
Founded in 2003, EPS Group provides civil and municipal engineering, planning, land development, surveying, water resource, landscape architecture and construction management services, with personnel who are certified in 14 states across the country. EPS Group expertise ranges from major public works infrastructure to large-scale private developments. In its 18 years, EPS Group has created a strong reputation in the industry for providing exceptional one-stop solutions with a single point of contact as a multi-disciplinary firm. In the past four years, EPS Group has doubled in size and has been involved in many notable projects. In Colorado, EPS Group is leading the civil engineering work on the Encore at Johnstown project, which is being developed by another Arizona-based firm, Caliber Development. The Encore at Johnstown is a 180+ acre mixed-use development that will feature office, retail, higher education and multifamily elements.
EPS Group Principals and Board Members Dan “Ox” Auxier and Hank Jansen bring nearly 40 years of combined civil engineering and survey experience to the market and will co-lead the Colorado operations. As it expands, EPS Group will create increased career development for its team and will continue to attract top talent at all of their offices.
Currently, EPS Group has more than 250 associates throughout the Southwest with four office locations. The majority of those associates are aligned to the EPS Group‘s home office in Mesa, Arizona. The firm’s regional offices are designed to harness the power of the home office structure in support of the locally-based teams who interact directly with clients and the community. EPS Group’s long-term plans include multiple locations throughout Colorado and becoming the #1 Design firm in the Southwest. To get there, EPS Group maintains committed to the fundamentals that fueled their growth to become the largest Arizona-based Civil Engineering/Survey firm with a people-centric approach.
Over the past five years, EPS Group has grown 20 percent year over year. To maintain exceptional client service levels, the firm has increased its associate count by nearly 70 percent during this five-year period.
“Diversification of services and geography increases our ability to effectively weather market and industry cycles,” said Wagner. “When someone says ‘yes’ to EPS Group (clients and/or associates), we want them to have the confidence in us for the short and long term.”
