DENVER – BMC Investments (BMC), a Denver-based real estate investment company specializing in the development, acquisition and management of properties across various asset classes and geographies, announced today the acquisition of The Inn at Cherry Creek, a boutique hotel located in Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver. The acquisition, which closed on September 19, was made by 233 Clayton Partners LLC, a newly formed partnership that is a collaboration between BMC and hospitality and development industry veterans Aparium Hotel Group and CHMWarnick. BMC will be developer of the property, while Aparium Hotel Group will be the hotel operator and CHMWarnick will serve as the property’s asset manager.
The Inn at Cherry Creek is the latest of many investments BMC has made in Cherry Creek North including Steele Creek, which recently sold for $140M, and Halcyon Hotel as well as the forthcoming St Paul Collection, MOXY Hotel and 2nd & Detroit.
“BMC believes that Cherry Creek North is the premier destination in Denver for locals and visitors alike and we are committed to maintaining the authenticity of this community,” said Matt Joblon, Chief Executive Officer of BMC Investments. “The Inn at Cherry Creek has incredible potential to be a destination in and of itself in this thriving neighborhood and we are thrilled to be working with Aparium and CHMWarnick to transform this asset.”
With future plans for the project still underway, The Inn at Cherry Creek will continue operating as usual.
“The Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District is currently transforming from an eight hour a day community to an 18 hour a day community. As we determine our plans for the Inn at Cherry Creek, we will be looking to support the community during these changes and there are a number of ways we hope to do this,” said Joblon. “The core of our vision is to create a place that becomes the cultural epicenter for this neighborhood.”
