Broomfield’s Flatiron Marketplace Plans for Redevelopment

View Here.

The owners of the Flatiron Marketplace in Broomfield Colorado, in partnership with Provident Realty Advisor Inc., are planning to revitalize a portion of its space. The shops that have been sitting empty for quite some time are going to be demolished and replaced by commercial space and residential units. There are plans to start demolition this summer. Their first phase will include 324 residential units, and 4,000 square feet of commercial space. The plan is to make this an urban hub for pedestrians equipped with dog parks, three internal courtyards, a pool, outdoor kitchen, sport courts, and a hosting area for farmers markets and community events. The council of Broomfield’s Planning and Zoning Commission want to make sure the marketplace has enough parking for everything that is going to be there. Other than that the council is very supportive of the project. Now the owners have to submit a formal development application, site development plan amendment, and subdivision improvement agreement to get the project moving.
