BUILT. Construction Awarded Recovery Café Longmont Project

Recovery Cafe rendering, Lightwell Architecture

BUILT. Construction has been selected as the general contractor for the Recovery Café Longmont project, located at 801 Main Street in downtown Longmont. In collaboration with Lightwell Architecture, BUILT. will lead the construction and renovation of this community-centered facility, supporting individuals in recovery through connection, compassion, and a sense of purpose.

The project includes renovating an existing 5,054-square-foot building and adding a new 2,334-square-foot enclosed area featuring a vertical clerestory to bring abundant natural light into the space. The redesigned facility will include a welcoming café, commercial kitchen, community rooms, flexible office spaces, classrooms, and all-gender restrooms, all thoughtfully designed to foster inclusivity and healing.

“This project is an exciting first for BUILT — a unique opportunity to create a space that truly gives back to the community,” says Brandon White, owner of BUILT Construction. “With extensive experience in adaptive reuse and restaurant projects, we’re honored to help build something that will have a meaningful impact in Longmont. We’re also grateful to collaborate with Recovery Café Longmont and Lightwell on such an impactful endeavor.”

Upon completion, Recovery Café Longmont will serve as a safe, restorative space for community members seeking recovery and connection.

Established in 2020, Recovery Café Longmont is a healing community for people in recovery from trauma, mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness, and more. Through peer support, radical hospitality, shared meals, and recovery circles, RCL creates a space where everyone can be seen, known, and loved.
