Cañon City Retail Center Adds Department Store

Following the recent opening of Ent Credit Union, Gordmans will also join The Shops at Four Mile Creek, a 65,000-square-foot retail center located at 127 Justice Center Road in Cañon City, about 45 miles southwest of Colorado Springs. Gordmans, a national off-price department store, will replace Bealls with an opening scheduled for May 2020.

Already home to a range of restaurant, entertainment and service offerings, the additions of Ent and Gordmans position the center to serve as one of the area’s prime retail destinations,” said Patrick Kerscher, senior associate with
CBRE in Colorado Springs. Mr. Kerscher is marketing The Shops at Four Mile Creek for lease along with his partner at CBRE, Dan Rodriguez, and Preston Troutman and John Marietta of the Coldwell Banker office in Canon City.

Originally built in 2004, the property owner, Westside Investment Partners of Denver, has completed significant upgrades to the shopping center, including façade, roof and parking lot improvements. The center now offers over 400 parking spaces. Currently 13 retailers call The Shops at Four Mile Creek home, including 4 Mile Cinemas, Cold Stone Creamery, Nelsen’s Fine Jewelry, The Yak Shak and a Healthtrac Walk-In Clinic. Ent Credit Union opened on site in 2019, marking the company’s first location in Fremont County. The Ent location includes a state-of-the-art service center featuring the company’s trademark Interactive Teller Machines along with an additional drive-up ITM with extended live video teller hours.

The Shops at Four Mile Creek sits at the intersection of Highway 50 and Justice Center Road with daily traffic counts in excess of 19,000 vehicles. There is also a large employee base within walking distance of the property.

The Shops at Four Mile Creek has suites currently available for lease adaptable to a wide range of uses with high ceilings and sizes from 300 square feet to 4,500 square feet, including a 2,000-square-foot restaurant space with a drive-through window.
