Facebooktwitterredditlinkedinmail

Renters across the U.S. are becoming increasingly interested in apartments that offer a generous amount of living space and great amenities. But as cost is always a make-or-break factor, an important question arises: where exactly can renters find the most bang for their buck in the state of Colorado? According to the latest RentCafé study, the answer is Castle Rock.

Using apartment data provided by Yardi Matrix and apartment data for more than 600 cities, the study reveals the sweet spots of quality and price, where renters can find luxury apartments with generous square footage, in a desirable location, and at a great price.

Colorado highlights:

  • Castle Rock is the No.1 location in Colorado for renters looking to live large on a budget. This Denver suburb offers the roomiest rentals in our top 5, averaging at 1,025 sq. ft., with rent prices around $1,645 a month.
  • Parker comes in second, as renters here can find high-end apartments of 961 sq. ft. for the average cost of $1,609. The city boasts a 97% share of luxury rentals, all in top locations.
  • Greeley closes the podium with the cheapest apartments in our top 5. At $1,364 a month, high-end rentals here offer an average of 875 sq. ft.
  • The top 5 ranking is closed by Colorado Springs — average rent of $1,514 for 945 sq. ft. — and Highlands Ranch, with a $1,742 average rent for a 997 sq. ft. high-end rental.

I don’t know what part of Castle Rock they are looking into for rent under $2k. Are these studios? You are not going to find anything livable in Castle Rock, apartment or SFH, for under $2.2k.
