Last week Level Office, a Chicago-based coworking brand, purchased the office tower at 1630 Welton St. for $9.5 million.
The company says it will spend $10 million more to transform the former home of the Colorado Athletic Club into 110,000-square-feet of office suites and coworking space, complete with a new rooftop deck and updated façade. Level office plans to charge less than its competitors by buying into each market rather than renting. Founder Bill Bennett has said a Level Office open desk will start at $99/month, compared to $350/month at WeWork’s Denver locations.
