Longmont City Council will consider updates to the city’s land development codes. A pre-session review will include a look at proposals for new zoning districts as well as the land uses and development that would be permitted in each of those districts., with the goal of providing more flexibility and creativity through zoning.
According to City Planner Brien Schumacher, examples will include allowing more multi-family uses in a mixed-use employment zoning district and a mixed-use regional zoning district, and to consider walkable and pedestrian scale commercial uses — such as restaurant, office and retail uses — in residential-mixed and residential multi-family zoning districts.
