The Home Ranch – a private, family-owned and operated ranch in the picturesque mountain town of Clark, Colorado – has reopened as a completely rebuilt luxury Western events facility and is now booking select weddings, corporate retreats, and private events for June 2025 and beyond.
A historic property in the picturesque mountain ranching town of Clark, Colorado, The Home Ranch announces its new luxury Western events facility, designed for weddings, corporate retreats and private events. The property was previously operated as a guest ranch before becoming private in 2019, and the family compound is now open for very few, select public events, offering a rare opportunity to explore 3,000 acres of pristine Rocky Mountain wilderness and countless activities to engage guests for team building, personal challenges and more. The Home Ranch is now booking events for June 2025 and beyond.
Easily accessible from Denver and just 25 minutes north of Steamboat Springs, The Home Ranch is a diverse family-owned operation that includes The Home Ranch Performance Horses, The Farm at The Home Ranch, and beef and cattle operations. Weddings, corporate retreats and private events require full buyouts of the property, which offers several new indoor and outdoor event space options, including:
- An open-air Belltower Pavilion, offering 2,000-square-feet of covered event space, breathtaking views of Mount Zirkel and the Park Mountain Range, and additional intimate outdoor amphitheater seating.
- Hahns Peak Barn, offering two floors and a total of 2,250-square-feet of cozy meeting or event space in a converted barn, featuring an adjacent grain silo bar.
- The Great Lodge, an impressive 12,000-square-foot building featuring a large hall, several smaller gathering places and a comfortable covered rooftop deck known as “The Hawk’s Nest.”
Temporary tents can be constructed at various scenic points across the property. All spaces are either completely new construction or thoughtfully refurbished, including the original 1972 homestead building, which has been relocated from its original location and given a new foundation and purpose.
“Our vision is to create an authentic Western experience punctuated with modern luxuries,” says Scott McFarlane, owner of The Home Ranch. “The new facilities provide a union of rustic simplicity and extraordinary grandeur. The setting alone speaks for itself. Our hospitality director and activities team is dedicated to crafting the perfect Colorado experience for each of our groups.”
Events at The Home Ranch are exclusive, fully customizable and high-end experiences, offering a private National Park appeal. The property hosts up to 250 people for events and sleeps up to 35 in a selection of guest cabins, lodge rooms and a three-bedroom home. In addition to guest suites, the centric Great Lodge offers a commercial kitchen, pool, spa, fitness center and golf simulator. All accommodations offer a well-designed and cozy charm, provide modern creature comforts like robes, a Keurig or espresso machine, record players and wood burning fireplaces.
Dining at The Home Ranch is as customizable as the events. Groups are welcome to invite approved private chefs and caterers to take up residence in the commercial kitchen of the Great Lodge. Ingredients can be sourced from the property’s diverse facilities, including the beef operation or harvested from The Farm, home to greenhouses, a chicken and a duck coop and more than two dozen raised garden beds.
Guests of The Home Ranch are introduced to timeless traditions of the Rocky Mountain West: activities are anchored in horseback riding and horsemanship – including trail riding, cattle drives, horsemanship clinics and even a western versatility course – but include something for everyone, such as fly fishing private stretches of the Elk River, a five-acre clay shooting course, mountain biking and hiking trails, hatchet throwing, rifle range, golf simulator, paddleboarding and canoeing, paddle tennis, ATV tours, 3D archery course, snowmobiling, carriage and sleigh rides, cross country skiing and snowshoeing, tubing, tours of The Farm’s greenhouses and more.
