Colorado Springs Ranked a Top City to Find a Job in 2019

COLORADO SPRINGS — With the unemployment rate at an eighteen-year low of 3.7 percent and employers expecting to hire 16.6 percent more college graduates from the Class of 2019 than from the previous graduating cohort, the personal-finance website WalletHub just released its report on 2019’s Best Places to Find a Job.

To determine the strongest local job markets in the U.S., WalletHub compared more than 180 cities across 30 key metrics. The data set ranges from job opportunities to employment growth to monthly average starting salary.

Colorado Springs ranked at No.5 on Wallet Hub’s Top 10 list. Scottsdale, Arizona received the top spot on the list, closely followed by Columbia, MD.

Colorado Springs was also named the top city with the highest rate of employment growth.

According to UCCS College of Business, the number of jobs in Colorado Springs increased 3.9 percent in the last year with the largest growth in health care, professional and technical assistance, construction and hospitality.
