According to the Denver Post, Brooklyn-based Gotham Greens is set to open a state-of-the-art 30,000-square-foot greenhouse facility, to be built directly behind Stanley Marketplace at 2501 Dallas St. in Denver. The greenhouse will produce the equivalent of more than 25 acres of conventional farming, serving the entire state.
Inspired by the growing local and artisanal food movement, the company has set out to expand its operations to cities around the country to create a brand of truly ‘local’, premium quality produce. Denver’s demand for sustainably grown produce made the city a logical choice to expand.
Gotham Greens joins the city’s other produce providers, The GrowHaus and Altius Farms. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2020.
